Lacorya Lynn (she/they) is the Communications Manager at Community Spring and a former 2021-22 Community Spring fellow. She’s passionate about advocacy, people-centered policy change, and using art to inspire change.

Though she’s a Gainesville native, Lacorya spent most of her childhood in a small town in North Carolina. Moving back to Gainesville opened her eyes to new cultures and perspectives she hadn’t experienced growing up. The people she’s met here have shaped her life for the better, and she feels lucky to continue learning from her community every day.

Lacorya earned her BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2023. She’s spent years working on issues she cares about, including mental health support for teens, reproductive rights, fair housing, education equity, and victim advocacy.
